Who We Are

OUR MISSION: To improve the quality of life for residents through charitable giving and philanthropy to make a lasting and beneficial investment in the Dickinson Area.

OUR VISION: Promote Philanthropy, receive and manage charitable gifts, and invest in a wide range of programs that promote economic and social well-being of area residents.

OUR ROLE: as committee members is to network with area service organizations and government, market the mission of the foundation, and draw gifts to the foundation; all with the goal to grow the permanent endowment fund and make it a great resource for the community.

TWO FUNDS: Committee work is supported by these funds to which donors can give and help us in our mission to serve the community:

  • ENDOWMENT: Is the primary fund and qualifies for 40% ND Tax Credit. (click here for requirements & to donate now) Roughly 4% of funds are put to work in the community annually as "grants".

  • Non-Endowment PROJECT Fund: Provides immediate granting. Qualifies as a charitable gift if no benefit is given in return, but NOT for 40% ND income tax credit.

Our Impact

Our committee is here to serve Dickinson Area non-profits by GRANTING endowment earnings annually. In 2023, we had $65,000 in grant requests on projects totaling $550,000. We were able to grant $32,384! While we are proud of what was granted last year, we aim to become a larger resource for area non-profits and make a difference in the lives of those who live in the Dickinson Area. Our goal is to grow the Foundation’s Endowment to $2,500,000+, which would create a Transformational Level of granting at $100,000 per year. By working together as a community and creating partnerships with individual donors and local businesses, we can make this goal a reality! We invite you to join in our mission.
