As the needs of local non-profits continue to increase, the Foundation’s Endowment must grow simultaneously to provide adequate funding and help power the good being done in our community. Financial success of the Endowment allows DACF to fund additional projects and programs, serving a larger population.
In 2018 ConocoPhillips stepped up with an idea to launch the Dickinson Charity Golf Tournament. With the support of the DACF committee, the ConocoPhillips team has raised over $384,000 for DACF & local non-profits to date. The event committee decided that 35% of the funds raised annually would be earmarked for immediate community needs, while allocating the remaining 65% to grow the Endowment; benefiting the community for generations to come. In 2023, Marathon chose to join in the mission, making a $25,000 donation and adding an employee to the committee. Through partnerships, the Foundation’s Endowment has grown to over $354,000.
DACF is committed to funding more of the grant requests that are received each year and to do so, our goal is to grow the Foundation’s Endowment to a Transformational Level - $2,500,000+, which would allow us to grant $100,000 every single year. By working together as a community and creating partnerships with individual donors and local businesses, we can make this goal a reality!

Project Fund: grants what it receives in gifts each year
Endowment: grants only its earnings, it is invested and grows over time
